1. Sales conditions
By using the Makernaut website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to these "Terms". You undertake to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Makernaut services and website. Makernaut uses an upload tool for automatically uploading 3D models, whereby they are checked and priced.
2. Makernaut services
The Makernaut services consist of various services offered via the Website. One of our services allows you to upload a 3D file to our website, view it in 3D, have it tested for manufacturability, and ultimately have it 3D printed in-house by us. If you want to turn your 3D model into a physical object, you can place a production order with us.
Unless stated otherwise during the checkout process, all costs are invoiced and collected by Makernaut. If your model is not manufacturable or has characteristics that may lead to unsatisfactory results, we will contact you and advise adjustments. If adjustments are not possible, a refund may take place as long as the production process has not yet started.
Our upload tool checks your model for manufacturability and repairs it automatically where possible. Models that do not comply must be assessed by an experienced 3D designer, who may – but not necessarily – adjust your model to make it suitable for production.
3. Ordering
Placing an order
To have a 3D model printed that you have designed or found online, you upload it to our tool. You then choose the quantity, lead time and additional services. We also request the information required for the delivery of the model.
Unacceptable orders, cancellation by us
There may be technical or other reasons why we do not accept or cancel your order, even after acceptance of your order (for example, infeasibility of the model, delivery address, etc.). In the event of cancellation, we will contact you by email.
4. Account conditions
You are responsible for keeping your password and account confidential and for all activities that take place under your account.
5. Prices
Prices depend on the lead time you have chosen and are only valid at the moment they are displayed. Makernaut reserves the right to change prices without prior notice, but this does not affect orders that have already been completed.
6. Liability
Makernaut offers no warranty on parts, since we are not responsible for the design. Misunderstandings about strength, surface finish or costs are not grounds for a refund.
7. Payment and prices
Payment must be made in full prior to printing unless otherwise agreed. The lead time of the printing process only begins after completion of payment and not from the moment of uploading. Payment can be made via the website, by invoice or with methods such as iDeal, credit card, PayPal or bank transfer.
8. Delivery
Your order is shipped to the shipping address you provided. Incorrect address details are the responsibility of the customer, and Makernaut is not liable for delays or damage. Packages are shipped in protective boxes.
9. Cancellation and return
Due to the nature of our services, you cannot cancel your order once it has gone into production. Orders with non-refundable parts can, however, be cancelled before the production process starts. Makernaut is not responsible for the design if it does not work or is not suitable for the intended purpose, unless we deviate significantly from the supplied design files.
10. Warranty and liability
Makernaut offers no warranty on printed parts because we are not responsible for the design. Although 3D printing is an effective method for producing unique or small runs, there may be limitations regarding strength, finish and costs. These factors are not a basis for a refund.
Makernaut is not responsible for loss of income, contracts, data or other indirect damage resulting from problems with the printed parts.
11. Use of the Makernaut website
All copyrights and property rights of the content of the website belong to Makernaut or its licensors. The content may only be used for personal, non-commercial purposes, unless otherwise agreed.
Makernaut also provides links to other websites, but is not responsible for the content of these external websites. Occasionally, the website may be unavailable due to maintenance or other interruptions. Makernaut is not responsible for losses you suffer as a result of the temporary unavailability of the website.
User-generated content
The term "user-generated content" refers to any content uploaded by you to the website, including 3D designs, photos of printed objects and specifications. Makernaut has no obligation to review user-generated content and is not responsible for its content.
You retain all intellectual property rights to your 3D designs, unless you give Makernaut permission to share images and information about your parts.
Intellectual property rights of 3D designs/models
As a designer, you retain all intellectual property rights to your 3D design. By uploading your design, you warrant that it is an original creation and does not infringe the rights of third parties. Should this nevertheless be the case, you are responsible for any claims and costs arising from it.
Makernaut reserves the right to refuse orders if there is a possible infringement of the intellectual property rights of third parties.
Limitation of liability
These terms determine the full scope of our obligations and liabilities with regard to the Makernaut services. Makernaut accepts no responsibility for indirect or consequential damage, such as loss of income or contracts, and our maximum liability will in no case exceed the amount you paid for the relevant order.
Changes to the website and terms
Makernaut reserves the right to make changes to the website, the services and these terms. Amended terms take effect upon publication on the website and do not affect orders that have already been completed.
Privacy and use of personal data
By using Makernaut's services, you agree to the collection and use of personal data. This data is used exclusively for our own administration and will never be provided, sold or shared with third parties without permission.
For more information about how we process your data, please refer to our privacy policy.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Makernaut, its partners, distributors and employees against all liabilities, costs and damages arising from your breach of these terms.
12. Other provisions
Makernaut reserves the right to make changes to the website, services and terms without prior notice. These changes take effect as soon as they are posted on the website and do not affect orders that have already been completed.
It is your responsibility to check the terms regularly to stay informed of any changes.
These terms, together with the privacy policy and any other guidelines or frequently asked questions on the website, constitute the complete and exclusive agreement regarding the services offered by Makernaut. Any changes to this agreement are only binding if they have been approved in writing by Makernaut.
Acceptance of terms
By agreeing to these terms and using the Makernaut services, you confirm that you fully understand and accept their content.
